The doctor we met with is a head pediatric surgeon in Rochester. He literally looked and felt the area for about two seconds and diagnosed the need for surgery. It took me longer to get a wipe out of the diaper bag. He certainly sounds like an expert and Bridger will be in good hands. He will have to be put under and I guess that takes longer than the actually surgery will which takes about 15 minutes. If all goes well we will be home that afternoon.
(Rylee has her preschool program that night so we have to figure out that plan yet.)
It is scary to think that our baby is going to be in surgery. But, as we were scheduling the procedure things were put into perspective when the nurse told us that one of the times that would've worked for us was the Dr. would be in surgery for a liver transplant. Bridger's is not a liver transplant so it is all a matter of perspective. In addition, as we were leaving Mayo the pianist in the lobby was playing a beautiful rendition of "Jesus Loves Me." God will take care of our baby.
On Friday we took Olivia into the Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic to be diagnosed by that specialist. After looking at the x-rays he determined that another splint had to be put on. Plus, her bone needed to be pushed back together. When she fell it basically got bent like a small v. We were all there and upon entering the cast room the Doctor chased me, Rylee and Claire out. He didn't want us to see her in pain. It turns out that he had no idea he was dealing with a girl with nerves of steel. Eric said that Olivia impressed the Doctor because even though the process was obviously very painful she didn't hardly flinch, let alone cry. Way to go tough girl! Sadly, she didn't get a really cool cast like she had been hoping. It is just a splint with a bandage around, but she didn't get too upset about that either.
The best part about last week is that I am done teaching for the semester. I probably don't have to tell you that my mind hasn't really been focused on school, so I am very glad to be done. Eric has finals tomorrow and Tuesday and he will be done also.
Then we can sing, "All I want for Christmas is two minutes of peace."

Way to go Olivia! You are one tough girl! You are about 1 x 10^6 times tougher then your biggest cousin. Ok probably more like 10^9.
As for Bridger. He is in our prayers as always as are all of you!
